About Us
Grounded Coffee & Crumbs is family owned and operated by Ashley & Mitch Maibach. Ashley, Mitch, and their two children, Emerson & Parker, are active members of the community in Paulding and desire to see more young families putting down roots and coming together to make an impact in the next generation and the future of Paulding.
Ashley has been a home baker for many years. Taught by her mother (who was taught by her mother), baking has been a large part or their family for generations. Ashley has a degree in social work and has a passion to come alongside struggling teens and families.
Mitch is a lover of coffee, music, and people. He is a musician and has made a career of engaging with people at the heart level through music. He is a worship pastor at Kingdom Collective in Ft. Wayne, IN and is involved with several other ministries. He has a heart for the local Church and has a desire to see the community of Paulding saturated and transformed by the power of the Gospel! Don’t be surprised if Mitch talks your ears off and asks fun and challenging questions.
The heartbeat of Grounded Coffee and Crumbs comes from Ephesians 3:14-21. This passage of scripture is a prayer for the people to be rooted and “grounded” in a deep sense of God’s love. We couldn’t think of a better place than a coffee shop to bring families, friends, and neighbors together to experience strong community, deep relationships, and real love. We pray that you will experience more than just good coffee and delicious crumbs, but that you will encounter true peace, joy, hope, and love!
About Coffee & Crumbs
All of the coffee made by Grounded Coffee & Crumbs is single origin, fair & organic, air-roasted coffee. Our beans are locally sourced from Sure House Coffee Roasting Co. in Wooster, Ohio. Each beverage is made with in-house freshly ground coffee and love.
Our crumbs are baked in-house daily by Ashley and her mother. They are always trying to serve the delicious coffee shop classics and some dishes with exciting new twists. Enjoy a rotating menu of cakes, scones, breads, muffins, cookies, sweet rolls, and more. You never know what you’re going to find.
Come try a family favorite: wecka! Wecka is a Swiss braided yeast bread, and our recipe is generationally handed down from Mitch’s mother, Dawn. It’s traditionally enjoyed toasted, with jam, and Swiss cheese.
